About
About Me
I am a New York City-based licensed psychotherapist offering teletherapy to residents of New York, California and Colorado. My style of therapy is warm, non-judgmental, and interactive. I strive to create an environment that feels safe and where meaningful work can occur through exploration and gentle challenging.
I have trained and worked throughout the New York City hospital and public-school system and in various outpatient mental health clinics. I have specialized training in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and trauma, and have extensive experience working with survivors of sexual abuse and 9/11 survivors (via the World Trade Center Health Program).
I believe we all possess an innate capacity for connection and healing and this is supported by current neuroscience research. I regard my clients as the experts on their lives and consider it a privilege to work with them in this capacity.
How I Work
I view therapy as a collaborative effort and take an active role in the treatment. I practice an eclectic style of therapy, meaning the work is informed by my training in various modalities of psychotherapy and is tailored to the individual. I have received formal training in the following types of treatment:
- Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy
- Cognitive Behavior Therapy
- Gestalt Therapy
- Mindfulness
- Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
- Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy
